Packers are used to consolidate the cultivated land in one pass with a cultivator, for example. The packer consolidates the plough furrows evenly and particularly compresses the subsoil. As a result, the soil will dry out less quickly and a stable seedbed will be obtained. The packer can also be equipped with a roller that crumbles the soil into a suitable seedbed after the soil has been compressed.
Evers has suitable packer rollers available for every type of soil and application. The range includes the following types:
This front-mounted packer is suitable for preparing the soil for sowing in one pass. The rings also press down the soil between the wheels of the tractor to ensure an even emergence of the crop, among other things.

This packer can, for instance, be connected behind a cultivator and is very suitable for preparing the soil for drilling in one pass. By doing this in a single pass there is less chance of structural degradation, such as drift and slaking problems. The trailed packer ensures a firm connection with the subsoil. Tillage with this packer provides an excellent seedbed for all types of crops such as beets, maize, grass seed, potatoes, cereals, peas, fine seeds and various horticultural crops.

This packer is suitable as a machine for an additional tillage operation behind the reversible plough and can be equipped with a rear roller, if required. In this case, the rear roller is equipped with Crosskill rings that rotate around the packer and consolidate the topsoil. The packer rings consolidate the soil at greater depth, while the Crosskill rings of the rear roller till the top layer of soil. This combination results in an ideal seedbed.
