New – Evers disc cultivator-injector: Toric Compact

Evers expands its successful range of Toric disc cultivator slurry injectors with a new type, the Evers Toric Compact. A compact disc cultivator that is perfectly suited for use behind slurry tanks. Designed with this purpose in mind, the compact machine is strong but lightweight. The Toric Compact is available with a working width of six metres and weighs 1990 kg when fitted with support wheels. The Toric Compact is also available with a heavy-duty roller.

The disc cultivator injector is ideal for applying slurry or digestate to fields covered with green manure and crop residues. The cutting action of the discs keeps the machine working without blockages. The compact design, combined with leaf spring elements, means the machine’s weight is kept close to the tank. This results in a positive axle load and drawbar pressure. With the Toric Compact, Evers offers a perfect disc cultivator-injector for trailed slurry tanks.

For exact depth control, the Toric Compact can be equipped with support wheels or a tube roller. The support wheels are steplessly adjustable for optimal depth control. The version with support wheels is ideally suited for trailed tanks with limited lifting capacity. The tube roller is adjustable using straightforward pins and brackets. The cultivator’s compact design ensures optimum weight distribution with the trailed slurry tank.

The Toric Compact features serrated discs of Ø 51 cm, mounted in maintenance-free bearings. The discs open and work the soil to a depth of 10 cm. The disc elements are mounted with leaf springs for excellent contour following. The optimal positioning of the two rows of discs keeps the power requirement down and avoids blockages.

The slurry is injected into the soil directly behind the first row of discs. The second row of discs ensures proper incorporation. Injecting the slurry directly into the soil increases the efficiency of nutrient uptake and reduces nitrogen loss. The disc cultivator-injector can be used on a wide variety of soil types.
